Rickey Huffman, 68, of Sorento, IL, passed away at 4:39 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.
Rickey was born July 29, 1950 in the St. Louis Suburbs of Missouri, the daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Duke) Janusweski. She married Danny Huffman on November 11, 1967 in St. Louis, and they enjoyed over 50 years of marriage.
Rickey graduated from Roosevelt High School in St. Louis, and took on the full-time job of being a homemaker. She cherished her family, especially her grandchildren, spending as much time with them as she could. Rickey was a woman of unwavering faith, and was the prayer warrior of the family. She spent numerous hours as a youth leader for her church. Rickey enjoyed crafts, especially making bird houses and macramé. She enjoyed interior decorating as well. Rickey was a long-time and beloved member of Lifeline Fellowship in Sorento.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Rod, Randy, and Carry Mercille.
Rickey is survived by her husband, Danny Huffman of Sorento, IL; children, Tony (wife, Dawn) Huffman of Palm Coast, FL, Gail (husband, Blake) Bywater of Mt. Olive, IL, and Pastor Troy (wife, Stella) Huffman of Sorento, IL; grandchildren, Lindsay (husband, James) Santana, Cameron Huffman, Lainey Huffman, Blake (wife, Kristi) Bywater, Breanna (husband, Collin) Wasson, Brendan Bywater, Justin Bywater, Matthew Bywater, Joey Mathews, Stephanie (husband, Matthew) Mossman, Isaac Shywolf, Daniel Huffman, Makayla Huffman, and Dalton Huffman; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Sharon (husband, Don) Govero, Cindy (husband, Scott) Howard, Connie (husband, Dave) Maness, and Joe Janusweski all of Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be provided prior to ceremonies.
Visitation and Celebration of Life: The family will receive guests from 3:00 p.m. until the time of ceremony at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Lifeline Fellowship, 702 N. Main St., Sorento, IL 62086, with Pastor Troy Huffman officiating.

I had met Rickey through WOL youth at the age of 13. She was an AMAZING friend. She had unwavering faith. She prayed for me many times. I will never forget her. She will always be in my heart.

Where do I start we have sooo many memories together i will never forget. Every year at Christmas time we would watch hallmark Christmas movies (even though we knew what was going to happen). In the summer we would roast s’mores every year! She was always there for me no matter what or how she was feeling and she always encouraged me. I would always help her make her famous buckeyes and man they where so good 😊. She was and still is my role model I will never forget her. I will always look up at the sky and think of her she was and still is the best,Love you mama see you in heaven
P.S How can I for get about making Christmas cookies with her and my cousins (girls night)
