Barbara Tipsword

Barbara Jean Tipsword, 65, of Taylorville, passed away on Friday, Oct. 26, 2007 at 8:25 a.m., at Taylorville Memorial Hospital. She was born August 9, 1942 in Hillsboro, Ill., the daughter of Mervin and Elsie (Gronewald) Bruns. She married John N. Tipsword, 12-23-1961 at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Barbara graduated from Taylorville High School in 1960, was a Homemaker and a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Taylorville. 

Surviving are her husband of Taylorville, mother Elsie Mansfield, Taylorville. Daughter: Brenda K. Tipsword of Schenectady, New York and companion George Wiederkehr; Son: Jerry L. and wife Andrea E. Tipsword, of Taylorville. Grandson: Michael A. Kopcza III of Schenectady, New York. 

She was preceded in death by her father. 

Visitation will be Monday, October 29, 2007 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home, Taylorville, Ill. And Tuesday, 10-30-07 from 10:00 - 11;00 A.M. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Taylorville. 

Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 11 :00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Taylorville with Rev. Rodney Blomquist officiating. Burial will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, Taylorville, Ill. Shafer Funeral Home, Taylorville, Ill. Is in charge of arrangements.
