Georgia Forbes

Georgia E. Forbes, 92, of Morrisonville passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Meadow Manor.

She was born December 3, 1917, in Harvel, the daughter of Walter and Clara (Gentry) Thunhorst. She married Glenn Crites in 1938; he preceded her in death in 1943.

She married Mel Forbes on December 18, 1946, in Morrisonville; he preceded her in death on October 22, 2003.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Eloise Steele and Evelyn Wilson; and brothers, Ned and Larry Thunhorst.

Mrs. Forbes owned and operated her own beauty shop in Morrisonville for many years. She was a member of the Morrisonville American Legion Post 721 Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, Gary (wife Marsha) Crites of Dawson; brothers, Walter J. (wife Ruth) Thunhorst of Morrisonville, and Ronald D. (wife Nancy) Thunhorst of Tucson, AZ; and several nieces and nephews including Dennis Steele of Morrisonville.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 28, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville. Graveside services will be held on Friday at 2:15 p.m. at Morrisonville Cemetery.
