Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Such a wonderful lady. She tried to teach me sewing in home economics. Of course teenage me had little interest .. She told my mom I wasnt going to be a good seamstress giving me a c on my report card which devastated my mom.. As an adult she said to me why did you choose nursing ? I replied you said I wasnt going to be a seamstress so I had to pick something. Hearing her laugh and say I am proud of you meant everything to me. I will miss seeing you around Mrs. Langen. Have a good rest. Gerri Reed Conrath

  2. I had Joyce as a teacher in Jr High school and High School. She had a wonderful way with all students. She made teaching seem effortless and because of that I choose to become a teacher. She was a wonderful confidant and we talked and visited frequently. This loss has left a huge hole in my life. With fond memories

  3. Our friendship began at an early age of 5, while taking piano lessons in Taylorville from the same teacher. Her beauty both inside and out will be in my heart forever. In later years, we shared some trying days as both our mothers were struggling in the hospital a few rooms apart and both passed away. I would pray that sudden death came as a friend for such a gracious and loving lady. Thanks for many “Golden Memories”! Rosa (Rossie) Robison Showalter
