LaDonna Grace Barker, 59, of Nokomis, formerly of Morrisonville, died at 3:35 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27, at Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Chad Foster officiating. Burial will be in Morrisonville Cemetery.

Mrs. Barker was born on March 7, 1952, in Taylorville, a daughter of the late Ernest B. and Waunita (Dixon) Loman. A homemaker, she was also a member of First Baptist Church in Morrisonville and AARP.

She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth (husband Shawn David) McCowan of Fort Worth, TX; a son, Orville W. Barker Jr. of Nokomis; a sister, Carol Hasara of Taylorville; two aunts, Marie Cavatorta and Colleen Hartley, both of Tovey; four grandchildren, Nicholas Barker, Robin Nicole McCowan, Abigail Eilis McCowan and Alexandra Raelene McCowan; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Loman; a brother, Ernest Loman; and half brothers, John and Everett Loman.
