Paul L. Holcmann, 74, of Sorento died March 1, 2010, at 9 a.m. at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Visitation will be today, March 3, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 4, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Haron Denton officiating. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery.

Born Oct. 5, 1935, at Bond County he was a son of the late Frank and Mable (Braundmeier) Holcmann. He married Wilma Mollet Jan. 14, 1956, at St. Ubaldus Catholic Church in New Douglas. She survives

Mr. Holcmann was a self employed contractor and barber in Sorento for many years. He also owned and operated the Sorento Salvage Yard. He was a longtime fireman for Sorento Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include two sons, David (wife Gale) Holcmann, and Dale (wife Kitty) Holcmann, both of Sorento; four grandchildren, Kourtney Holcmann, Erica Knebel, Candace Denton and Ryan Holcmann; two great-grandchildren, Noah Denton and Allison Knebel; a sister, Gladys Schmollinger of Old Ripley; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were a grandson, Cory Dale Holcmann; and a great-grandson, Josiah Cory Swenson.

Memorials are suggested to Sunnyside Cemetery or Bond County Humane Society.
