MORRISONVILLE - Robert Earl Deardorff, 80, of Morrisonville passed away at 11:55 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at his home.
Mr. Deardorff was elevator manager for Ralston Purina Co. in Raymond for 37 years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Leslie Reddick American Legion Post 731 and Masonic Lodge 681, all in Morrisonville. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Deardorff of Morrisonville; sons, Robert Kenten (Brenda) Deardorff of Morrisonville and Samuel Charles (Kristy) Deardorff of Versailles; daughters, Denna Lee (Alan) Achenbach of Taylorville and Erla Kaye (David) Pieplow of Collinsville; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and sisters, Norma Williams and Arlone (Glen) Dalluge, both of Decatur.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007, at Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, at First Presbyterian Church in Morrisonville, with the Rev. Jim Ferrill officiating. Burial will follow in Morrisonville Cemetery.
